Note 19. Segment Information In the operation of the business, the Chief Executive Officer, who is the Company’s chief operating decision maker (“CODM”) is the person responsible for making resource allocation decisions. Operating segments are components of the business for which the CODM regularly reviews discrete financial information. The Company manages its operations as a single segment for the purposes of assessing performance and making operating decisions. The Company currently sells its product in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”), and Asia Pacific (“APAC”) markets. The Company measures revenue based on the physical location of where the customer who is receiving the promised goods or service is located. Disaggregated revenue data for those markets is as follows:
Revenue generated from customers within the Company’s country of domicile, the United States, amounted to $43.8 million and $46.7 million for the years ended December 31, 2022 and 2021, respectively. The Company’s long-lived assets are primarily located in the United States, where the Company’s headquarters and primary operations are located. Approximately 18% of our long-lived assets are located in Sweden, where we perform research and development activities related to our binder-jetting technology. |
